Kenosha, Wis., August 10, 2009 – Looking for a winning wide receiver? Need a quick QB? Get insights, news and analysis for your fantasy football team for the 2009 NFL Football season by filling up on RapidDraft.com’s “Fantasy Lunch”. The fantasy sports radio show airs on Blog Talk Radio at http://www.blogtalkradio/RDFantasyLunch Monday through Friday from 1-2 p.m. (Central Standard Time).
“Spend your lunch hour with us and we’ll
break down each team in the NFL from a fantasy sports perspective. We’ll answer
your specific questions and help give you tips to win
$250,000 in RapidDraft Fantasy Football - all right from your computer,” says
Pat “Hegs” Hegewald, co-host of RapidDraft.com’s Fantasy Lunch.
Fantasy Lunch, co-hosted by Hegewald and
Caitlin “The Sports Blonde” Morrall, debuted in July, and has shared insight
with thousands of listeners both live and on playback. The team of Hegs and The Sports Blonde is
both experienced and entertaining.
Hegewald, who has 20 years of radio
experience calling play-by-play for nearly 300 prep and college level games,
won the 2007 Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Merit Award for Excellence. He
worked as News and Sports Director at WLIP in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and has
interviewed sports greats such as Michael Jordan, Joe Montana, Randy Couture
and Hank Aaron.
Morrall holds her own with Hegs and the
line-up of mostly male guests and listeners, because she knows football. She
interned and worked at ESPN Milwaukee radio (AM 540), was a regular guest on
the popular show The D-List, in a segment titled “Beauty and the Geeks”, where
she was pitted again the experts and beat out most of them. In addition, Morrall covered high school
football as a field reporter, and worked in television for Fox Sports Wisconsin
as a sideline reporter and a feature reporter for the Milwaukee Bucks pre-game
show. She has interviewed professional athletes including J.J. Hardy, Bill Hall,
Craig Counsell, C.C. Sabathia, Andrew Bogut, Richard Jefferson, Aaron Kampman,
Al Harris, Greg Jennings and Stephon Marbury.
“I love sports and say bring it on. It’s
time to talk football. We’ll give you the latest insights so you can draft your
best team. We’ll even give you a free code to try our new game, RapidDraft, and
see if you can win $250, 000,” says Morall.
Scheduled as a guest for Tuesday,
August 11, is Nando Difino, Fantasy Sports Reporter for The Wall Street Journal, who will be discussing the New Orleans
Saints. Later in August, Fantasy Lunch will
feature Pete O’Brien, Fantasy Sports Editor from USA Today, who will help Hegewald and Morrall analyze another great
NFL team.
Pat and Caitlin’s daily features on Fantasy
Lunch include: Twitter/Facebook Question of the Day, where listeners
answer a trivia question and win a free RapidDraft, News of the Day, Team
Analysis, Ask the Sports Blonde, and all the odd or unusual news from the NFL
in what they refer to as “the kicker story”. The show also features Matt
Schauf, with Fantasy Island, one of the RaidDraft.com’s top bloggers and
publisher for FantasySportsBusiness.com.
Fantasy Lunch is an extension of
RapidDraft, a new fantasy game which allows consumers to draft 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, against a group of Fantasy Pros in a 3D sports bar and then
compete during an 11-week regular season and five-week post-season to win a
guaranteed Grand Prize of $250,000 - all for less than $10 a draft.
